As the world is moving towards a sustainable way of living, companies are investing in more resources to build an eco-friendly fashion industry. In its 7th acquisition in the last 12 months, content to commerce conglomerate, Good Glamm acquires stake Organic Harvest, in an all-cash deal, becoming its largest stakeholder. It is also planning to invest an additional 75 crores to help the brand grow.
The Good Glam Group, which was founded by Darpan Sanghvi, Priyanka Gill and Naiyya Saggi, has been investing a lot in the BPC market and providing the companies with strategies and support to improve their online presence and reach. It has acquired influencer marketing platform Winkl and content and creator analytics startup Vidooly. The group which became a unicorn recently also took over Miss Malini in December last year.
“Organic Harvest has predominantly been an offline first brand. Now, as part of the Good Glamm Group, Organic Harvest will be able to leverage the group’s large digital audience,” Darpan Sanghvi, Good Glamm Group founder and CEO said.
Rahul Agarwal founded Organic Harvest in 2013. The brand’s current revenue is 75 crores, and according to Agarwal, it will reach 250 crores by March 2023. Ecocert certifies that the ingredients and raw materials used by the company are derived from plant-based ingredients. The brand’s skincare, haircare, body care, and essential oil range are all organic. After the investment, the company will have access to the group’s resources and tools that will help it to have a good reach in the influencer-driven online market of fashion products.
In 2017, the group founded the cruelty-free beauty brand My Glamm, which claims to have become India’s fastest-growing direct-to-consumer beauty brand with over 800 products in categories like makeup, skincare, and personal care. They also have brands like The Moms Co, St Botanica, Sirona and Organic Harvest as well as content platforms POPxo, BabyChakra and the popular online infotainment and media platform SchoopWhoop which is popular for its show “SchhopWhoop Unscripted”.
