Tata Neu: One super app for all solutions!

Published

on

Tata has announced the launch of its super app “Neu”. According to the announcement made through a teaser image on the app’s Google Play Store page, the new app will be launched on April 7, 2022.

What is Tata Neu?

The app was publically promoted along with the ongoing Indian Premier League tournament. Tata Neu offers users rewards for shopping and booking flights and hotels, according to information available on the Play Store. Spending money on the app will earn you Neu coins, which are redeemed for other services, according to Livemint. Tata Group employees are the only ones who can access the app at the moment.

“Consume cutting-edge digital content, make payments, manage your finances, plan your next holiday or perhaps just your next meal – there are lots to explore and experience in the world of Tata Neu,” reads the description of the app on the Play Store. The reports suggest that the app has a sleek look and does not overburden the user with information.

What are the services Tata Neu will provide?

Neu is said to be an all-in-one solution app that will bring together all digital services and apps provided by the Tata group under one single platform. Just like UPI, QR codes are scanned and paid for via the app. Using one place, customers can track all their bills, including DTH, broadband, mobile, electricity, and recharge. Various Tata Group digital services, including booking flights on Air Asia India and Air India, booking hotels at Taj Group properties, ordering groceries from BigBasket, medicines from 1mg, and purchasing electronics from Croma and apparel from Westside, will be available through the Tata Neu app.

A large number of super apps are being developed in the country. A number of companies have developed their own super apps to offer a wide range of services to their clients. Today, India has become a market where first-time internet users are using smartphones to conduct transactions and other activities. As such, it is a key app market.

Amazon, Paytm, and Reliance Jio also provide super apps with a variety of services like payments, content streaming, shopping, travel bookings, groceries, and more.
