Shout-out to Saransh Golia: The launch of a global butter chicken brand

Celebrity chef Saransh Goila, fired his tandoor yet again sending mouthwatering flavors floating from his Mumbai Kitchen. While business has been the last thing on Goila’s mind amidst the ferocious second wave of Covid-19, the young chef took a break from his pandemic relief measures and resumed work to our appetite’s delight.

Saransh Goila, who bags over a million followers on Twitter and Instagram saw an inflow of requests from Covid affected families and patients, seeking healthy meals. Coronavirus making entire families sick and compelling people into isolation has left them wanting home-cooked meals, while networks of neighbors, families, and friends have failed due to the pandemic restrictions.

Saransh thus came up with a not-for-profit platform. ‘Covid Meals for India’ to establish a network of thousands of volunteer home cooks with frontline workers and Covid-19 patients across 400 cities in April.

Butter Chicken Brand by Saransh Goila

The menu includes everything that is butter chicken- a butter chicken burger, butter chicken biryani, chips and you know what – butter chicken gravy and oh a butter chicken khichdi for the sick too!

At the age of 25, Saransh Goila won a television cooking competition and thereafter hosted a travel program parading regional Indian cuisine. After traveling a distance of some 20,000 km, he discovered the universal appeal of butter chicken and the need to establish a global butter chicken brand.

The chef calls it “a hug in a bowl” as the creamy tomato dish lands like a hug on the taste buds making it a restaurant staple in India. As the latest Covid outbreak subsides in the nation, the relief measures by Goila are still burgeoning.
