In just two years, it has accumulated a remarkable collection of over 14 international awards, firmly establishing its position as one of India’s most celebrated whiskies.

A Historic Triumph at the 2023 Whiskies of the World Awards

Indri’s latest achievement is winning the Best Whisky Award at the Whiskies of the World Awards 2023. The Whiskies of the World Awards is an annual event that brings together some of the most influential tastemakers and influencers in the beverage industry. Over 100 varieties of whiskies are blind-tasted and rated on a 100-point basis, focusing on aromatics, flavor, and finish.

Indri Diwali Collector’s Edition 2023, a limited edition whisky released to celebrate the festival of lights, was awarded the “Double Gold Best in Show” award, beating hundreds of renowned brands from around the world. This accolade marks a milestone in the global recognition of Indian whiskies and puts India on the global whisky map.

Indri Diwali Collector’s Edition 2023 is a peated Indian single malt whisky made with six-row barley handpicked in Rajasthan and fresh glacier water from the Yamuna River. It is then aged in Pedro Ximenez Sherry Casks, which imparts a dark amber hue and sweet, currant-like notes to the whisky. The whisky has a complex and balanced profile, with smoke, fruit, nuts, chocolate, and spices aromas. The whisky has a smooth and rich mouthfeel, with flavors of caramel, vanilla, oak, raisins, figs, and dates. The finish is long and lingering, with hints of pepper, cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove.

Indri Diwali Collector’s Edition 2023 is a masterpiece that reflects the craftsmanship and creativity of Piccadily Distilleries. It is also a tribute to the spirit and joy of Diwali, the festival of lights that symbolizes victory over darkness.
