E-commerce giant Flipkart to reach out to every serviceable pin code in India

Published

on

The initiative by Flipkart is meant to boost the confidence of customers based in Tier-2 and 3 cities.

Flipkart now would reach out to the consumers based in Tier-2 cities and beyond, assuring quick and efficient delivery. The indigenous marketplace has already invested in strengthening a strong platform, which includes various brands and sellers.

Flipkart delivers to 100 per cent of the serviceable pin codes in India, for almost all product categories. Alongside reaching out to every serviceable pin code, Flipkart has also introduced new initiatives to get Tier 2 and beyond consumers to even shop on the platform. This includes Flipkart’s Mobile Exchange Program, Complete Appliance Protection, etc…

Flipkart has partnered with about 10k general trade stores across 700 cities for handholding consumers.

People living in Tier-2 cities have been keen to access e-commerce but couldn’t do so due to lack of confidence. These people generally frequented local trade stores for all their regular purchases. With Authorised BuyZone, we have made efforts to educate consumers, to enable them in making purchases. This initiative has already witnessed 5X growth since its pilot run over a year ago, says Ajay Veer Yadav, Senior Vice President, Mobiles and Large Appliances at Flipkart.

Flipkart says it turned out to be another important lever in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities for high-value purchases. This initiative has led to many customers making their first-ever Flipkart purchase. Besides this, the presence of Complete Appliance Protection plan, which addresses all the problems through a single-window such as free doorstep repair, refund options, has received positive feedback from consumers.
